Messaging Settings

Settings โ†’ Messaging configures your SMS messaging provider. This is required to use the Send SMS to Lead automation action.

Why You Need a Messaging Providerโ€‹

LeadHub does not include built-in SMS sending. You provide your own account with a third-party SMS provider, and LeadHub uses their API to send messages.

Supported Providersโ€‹

ProviderNotes
TwilioMost popular; global coverage; pay-per-message
Vonage (Nexmo)Strong EU coverage
MessageBirdGood global rates
CustomAny provider with a REST API can be configured

Configuring Twilio (Example)โ€‹

  1. Create a Twilio account at twilio.com and purchase a phone number.
  2. From your Twilio console, copy:
    • Account SID
    • Auth Token
    • From Number (your Twilio phone number, e.g. +15550001234)
  3. In LeadHub, go to Settings โ†’ Messaging.
  4. Select Twilio as the provider.
  5. Enter the Account SID, Auth Token, and From Number.
  6. Click Save.

Testing SMSโ€‹

After configuring, go to Settings โ†’ Messaging and click Send Test SMS. Enter a mobile number and send a test message to verify the configuration works.

SMS in Automationsโ€‹

Once messaging is configured, you can add Send SMS to Lead action steps in any automation.

The SMS is sent to the lead's phone field. If the lead has no phone number, the action is silently skipped.

Message supports merge tags: {{first_name}}, {{last_name}}, {{full_name}}, {{email}}, {{company}}

Maximum 160 characters per SMS.

Costsโ€‹

SMS costs are charged directly by your provider (Twilio, Vonage, etc.) based on their per-message rates. LeadHub does not add any markup.
