RiseGuard - Security Toolset for Rise CRM

RiseGuard provides essential security features for your Rise CRM installation, including brute force protection, IP blocking, and session management. By adding RiseGuard to your CRM, you gain a comprehensive layer of defense that helps safeguard sensitive business data and prevents unauthorized access.

Overviewโ€‹

Securing your CRM is critical to protecting client data, financial records, and internal communications. RiseGuard is purpose-built for Rise CRM and delivers the following security capabilities:

Before installing RiseGuard, ensure your environment meets the following prerequisites:

Installation & Activationโ€‹

Follow these steps to install RiseGuard on your Rise CRM instance:

  1. Download the plugin from your Themesic account or the marketplace where you purchased it.
  2. Extract your download and locate the upload.zip file inside the package.
  3. In Rise CRM, navigate to Setup โ†’ Plugins โ†’ All Plugins.
  4. Click the Install Plugin button located in the top-right corner.
  5. Select the upload.zip file and press Install.
  6. Once the upload completes, click Activate to enable the plugin.
  7. Enter your license key when prompted to complete the activation.
Verifying Installation

After activation, navigate to the Settings area in your Rise CRM backend. You should see a new security settings section added by RiseGuard. If you do not see it, try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache.

What Happens After Activationโ€‹

Once RiseGuard is installed and activated, the following changes take effect:

  • A new security settings section is added to your Rise CRM backend where you can configure all protection features.
  • Brute force protection begins monitoring login attempts immediately with default settings.
  • IP blocking and session management tools become available for configuration.
  • All security events are tracked so you can review activity as needed.
Keep Your License Key Safe

Your license key is required for activation and future updates. Store it in a secure location. If you lose your license key, contact Themesic support for assistance.
