Plan Tabs and Sections

When you open an account plan, you see several tabs on the left. Each tab holds different types of information. This page explains each one.

Due Diligenceโ€‹

What it contains:

  • Financial data โ€“ Year, revenue, sales spent, traffic, loss (spreadsheet table)
  • Marketing activities โ€“ Item and reference (spreadsheet table)

How to use:

  1. Click the Due Diligence tab.
  2. Edit the tables directly (add rows, type in cells).
  3. Click Submit to save.

Team Informationโ€‹

What it contains:

  • Your company team โ€“ Staff assigned to this account
  • Client team โ€“ Client contacts and their details (name, title, email, phone, etc.)

How to use:

  1. Click Team Information.
  2. Add or edit team members.
  3. Save your changes.

Service Ability Offeringโ€‹

What it contains:

  • Current Service โ€“ Services the client currently uses
  • Service Ability Offering โ€“ Your offerings with potential, scale, prioritization

How to use:

  1. Click Service Ability Offering.
  2. Edit the spreadsheet tables.
  3. Click Submit to save.

Planningโ€‹

This is the main strategic tab. It includes:

Basic Infoโ€‹

  • Subject โ€“ Plan title
  • Time โ€“ Plan period
  • Plan Status โ€“ Draft, In Progress, Review, Completed, Archived
  • Client Status โ€“ Red, Yellow, Green (traffic-light style)
  • BCG Model โ€“ Question marks, Stars, Dogs, Cash cows

Objectives and Strategyโ€‹

  • Objectives โ€“ Main goals (rich text editor)
  • Revenue next year โ€“ Planned revenue
  • Margin โ€“ Margin percentage
  • Wallet share โ€“ Wallet share percentage
  • Threat โ€“ Threats (rich text)
  • Opportunity โ€“ Opportunities (rich text)
  • Criteria to success โ€“ Success criteria
  • Constraints โ€“ Constraints

TODO List (Tasks)โ€‹

  • Objectives โ€“ Group tasks by objective
  • Items โ€“ Sub-items under each objective
  • Tasks โ€“ Action needed, assignee (PIC), deadline, status, priority

Task actions:

  • Convert to Task โ€“ Create a Perfex task from a plan task (status syncs both ways)
  • Edit โ€“ Change task details
  • Delete โ€“ Remove the task

MindMapโ€‹

  • A MindMap editor for visual strategy planning.
  • Use the LAMP icon to create or edit the MindMap.
  • Export as PNG or SVG from the Planning tab.

Goals & KPIsโ€‹

  • Add goals with target, actual, and due date.
  • Track progress toward key metrics.

Plan Health Scoreโ€‹

  • A calculated health score (percentage) based on tasks and progress.
  • Shown at the top of the Planning tab when available.

Approvalโ€‹

  • Approved by โ€“ Shows who approved the plan and when (if used).

Relationsโ€‹

What it contains:

  • Linked items โ€“ Projects, Invoices, Estimates, Proposals
  • Quick Create Project โ€“ Create a new project linked to this plan
  • Linked project tasks & milestones โ€“ Tasks and milestones from linked projects

How to use:

  1. Click Add Relation and choose Project, Invoice, Estimate, or Proposal.
  2. Select the item from the dropdown and save.
  3. Use Quick Create Project to create a new project and link it automatically.
  4. Linked project tasks and milestones appear below the relations table.

Meeting Notesโ€‹

What it contains:

  • Meeting notes / call logs โ€“ Date and notes for each meeting or call

How to use:

  1. Click Add meeting note.
  2. Enter the date and notes.
  3. Save.
  4. Use Edit or Delete to modify existing notes.

Competitorsโ€‹

What it contains:

  • Competitor name โ€“ Name of the competitor
  • Threat level โ€“ Low, Medium, or High
  • Notes โ€“ Additional notes

How to use:

  1. Click Add competitor.
  2. Enter name, threat level, and notes.
  3. Save.
  4. Use Edit or Delete to modify existing entries.

Activityโ€‹

What it contains:

  • Activity log โ€“ History of changes (created, updated, status changes, etc.)

This tab is read-only. It helps you see who did what and when.

Plan Actions (Dropdown)โ€‹

When viewing a plan, use the dropdown menu (caret) next to the plan title for:

  • Export PDF โ€“ Download the plan as PDF
  • Create next period โ€“ Copy this plan to the next month/quarter
  • Compare plans โ€“ Compare two plans side by side
  • Delete โ€“ Delete the plan (requires permission)

Client Update Requestsโ€‹

If a client has requested an update via the client portal, you will see an alert at the top with a link to Mark as handled. Use this to acknowledge and close the request.
