Configuration

After activating PDF Customizer, you can configure every aspect of your PDF document output. Navigate to the module Settings to access all configuration options.

PDF Layout and Designโ€‹

The layout settings control the overall structure and appearance of your PDF documents:

  • Adjust page margins and spacing to match your preferred document layout
  • Set the page orientation and size for different document types
  • Configure header and footer areas with custom content
tip

Start with subtle layout adjustments and preview often. Small changes to margins and spacing can have a significant impact on the overall look of your PDFs.

Template Customizationโ€‹

PDF Customizer allows you to create and customize templates for different document types, including invoices, proposals, and estimates:

  • Select which template to use for each document type
  • Rearrange sections and content blocks within templates
  • Add or remove information sections as needed for your workflow
info

You can create multiple templates and assign different ones to different document types, giving you maximum flexibility in how each document is presented.

Column and Field Selectionsโ€‹

Branding Elementsโ€‹

Make every document reflect your business identity by configuring branding options:

  • Logo โ€” Upload your company logo to appear on all generated PDFs
  • Colors โ€” Set primary and accent colors that match your brand palette
  • Fonts โ€” Choose from available font families for headings and body text
tip

For the most professional results, use a high-resolution logo image (PNG format with a transparent background works best) and ensure your brand colors provide good contrast for readability.

Previewing Changesโ€‹

After making configuration changes, it is recommended to generate a preview PDF to verify that the output matches your expectations. This helps catch any layout issues before documents are sent to clients.

warning

Changes to PDF templates apply to all newly generated documents of that type. Previously generated PDFs are not affected by configuration changes.
