This guide provides guidance for migrating tenant data and configurations when needed.
When Migration May Be Neededโ
- Server migration โ Moving your Perfex CRM installation to a new server
- Database migration โ Changing database servers or structure
- URL structure changes โ Switching between subdomain and subdirectory modes
General Migration Considerationsโ
- Backup first โ Always create full backups of your Perfex CRM installation and all tenant databases before any migration
- Database per tenant โ Each tenant typically has their own database; ensure all tenant databases are migrated
- Test thoroughly โ After migration, verify each tenant can access their CRM and data is intact
