Tenant Settings

The Tenant Settings tab controls how tenants sign up, how long their trials last, whether email verification is required, and what happens to inactive tenants. These settings directly affect your customer experience.

Accessing Tenant Settingsโ€‹

  1. Go to SaaS Management โ†’ SuperAdmin Settings
  2. Click the Tenants Settings tab

Tenant Settings โ€” configure registrations, trials, email verification, and inactive tenant handling

Settings Explainedโ€‹

Delete Inactive Tenant Database After (Days)โ€‹

This setting automatically deletes tenant databases that have been inactive for a specified number of days.

ValueWhat Happens
0Disabled โ€” inactive tenant databases are never deleted
30Databases of tenants inactive for 30 days are deleted
60Databases of tenants inactive for 60 days are deleted
Custom valueSet any number of days
warning

Be careful with this setting! Once a database is deleted, the tenant's data is gone forever. We recommend setting this to at least 90 days or disabling it (0) until you have a clear retention policy.

What counts as "inactive"? A tenant is considered inactive if their subscription has expired and they haven't renewed or logged in during the specified period.

Trial Period (Days)โ€‹

Set how many days new tenants get for free before they need to pay:

ValueEffect
0No trial โ€” tenants must pay immediately
77-day free trial
1414-day free trial (recommended)
3030-day free trial
info

Sales Tip: A 14-day trial is the sweet spot for most SaaS businesses. It's long enough for customers to see the value, but short enough to create urgency. Many successful SaaS companies use this model.

Enable/Disable Registrationsโ€‹

Controls whether new tenants can sign up through your landing page:

OptionWhen to Use
EnabledNormal operation โ€” anyone can register
DisabledWhen you want to temporarily stop new signups (maintenance, beta phase, invite-only)

Require Email Verificationโ€‹

Controls whether new tenants must verify their email before accessing their CRM:

OptionEffect
Enabled (Recommended)Tenants receive a verification email and must click the link before they can use their CRM
DisabledTenants can use their CRM immediately after registration (no email check)

Why enable email verification?

  • Prevents fake/spam signups
  • Ensures you have valid contact emails
  • Reduces server resource waste from bot signups
  • Professional SaaS platforms always verify emails

When email verification is enabled, tenants see this page after registration

Landing Page URLโ€‹

Set the URL where your landing/signup page will be accessible:

FieldDescriptionExample
Landing Page URLThe URL for your public-facing landing pagehttps://mycrm.com/home

This is covered in detail in the Landing Page Setup guide.
