Advanced Search

Advanced Search provides powerful filtering options to find specific emails quickly. Use multiple criteria to narrow down results and locate exactly what you need.

Prerequisite

Advanced Search must be enabled in Setup โ†’ Settings โ†’ Mailbox Settings โ†’ Enable Advanced Search.


  1. Navigate to Mailbox โ†’ Emails
  2. Click the Advanced Search button (usually next to the search bar)
  3. Advanced search panel will expand

Search Criteriaโ€‹

From (Sender)โ€‹

Search by email sender - enter an email address, domain, or name.

Examples: support@ finds all emails from support addresses, @company.com finds all emails from a company domain.

Subjectโ€‹

Search in email subject lines using keywords or partial matches.

Examples: invoice finds all emails with "invoice" in subject, [URGENT] finds urgent emails.

Body (Content)โ€‹

Search in email body/content - enter keywords or phrases.

Examples: project deadline finds emails mentioning project deadline, payment received finds payment confirmations.

To (Recipient)โ€‹

Search by recipient - your email address or other recipients in To/CC fields.

Tagsโ€‹

Filter by email tags/labels - select one or more tags from dropdown. Shows only emails with selected tags.

Date Rangeโ€‹

Filter by date range using From Date and To Date with date picker.

Read Statusโ€‹

Filter by read status: Read, Unread, or All.

Has Attachmentโ€‹

Filter by attachment presence: Yes, No, or All.


  1. Enter Criteria - Open Advanced Search panel and fill in the criteria you want
  2. Apply Filters - Click Search or Apply Filters button; results will update
  3. Clear Search - Click Clear or Reset button to remove all filters

Search Tipsโ€‹

Combine Criteriaโ€‹

Use multiple criteria for precise results:

  • From: support@ AND Subject: urgent = Support urgent emails
  • Tags: "VIP" AND Date: Last 7 days = Recent VIP emails
  • Has Attachment: Yes AND Read Status: Unread = Unread emails with attachments

Use Partial Matchesโ€‹

  • inv matches "invoice", "invitation", "inventory"
  • @company matches all emails from company domain
  • support matches "support", "Support", "SUPPORT" (case-insensitive)

Important Notesโ€‹

  • Advanced Search searches across all folders (Inbox, Sent, Archive, etc.)
  • Search is case-insensitive
  • Partial matches are supported
  • Multiple criteria use AND logic (all must match)
  • Advanced Search feature must be enabled in Settings
