The Live Chat module adds real-time chat functionality to your Perfex CRM installation, enabling direct communication between your team and clients. Configure the chat widget from the module's settings page to match your workflow and branding needs.

Requirementsโ€‹

Before installing the Live Chat module, ensure your environment meets the following requirements:

  • Perfex CRM installed and running
  • Admin access to your Perfex CRM installation
  • A valid Live Chat license key (purchase code)
  • PHP version as required by your Perfex CRM version

Installationโ€‹

Follow these steps to install the Live Chat module:

  1. Download the upload.zip file from your purchase's Downloads section (e.g., CodeCanyon).
  2. Log in to your Perfex CRM as an administrator.
  3. Navigate to Setup โ†’ Modules in the admin sidebar.
  4. Click the Upload button and select the upload.zip file.
  5. Press Install to complete the module installation.
  6. Click Activate and enter your license key (purchase code).
Important

Do not rename or extract the upload.zip file before uploading โ€” Perfex CRM expects the original zip archive for module installation.

Configurationโ€‹

After activation, configure the live chat settings from the module's settings page:

  1. Navigate to the Live Chat settings in the admin area.
  2. Configure the chat widget appearance and behavior according to your preferences.
  3. Set up any notification preferences for incoming chat messages.
  4. Save your settings.

Take time to review all available settings after installation. Proper configuration ensures the chat widget works smoothly and provides a good experience for both your team and your clients.

After Setupโ€‹

Once the module is installed, activated, and configured:

  • The live chat widget will be available based on your configuration settings
  • Your team can begin receiving and responding to chat messages
  • Monitor the chat functionality to ensure messages are being delivered correctly

If you make changes to the chat settings, they take effect immediately. There is no need to restart or deactivate the module.
