Live Mode

Once you have successfully tested the integration using sandbox credentials, you can switch to live mode to start accepting real payments from your customers through Mercado Pago.

Overviewโ€‹

Live mode connects the module to the Mercado Pago production environment, enabling real financial transactions. Before going live, ensure that you have a verified Mercado Pago merchant account and that your production credentials are correctly entered in the module settings.

Obtaining Production Credentialsโ€‹

To retrieve your live credentials:

  1. Log in to your Mercado Pago account.
  2. Navigate to your credentials page at mercadopago.com.br/account/credentials.
  3. Locate the Production credentials section.
  4. Copy the relevant credentials.

Depending on your account, you will use either an Access Token or a Client ID / Client Secret pair โ€” the same authentication method you used in test mode. Refer to the Test Mode Setup page for details on which method to use.

Switching to Live Modeโ€‹

Follow these steps to enable live mode:

  1. Log in to your Perfex CRM admin panel and navigate to the Mercado Pago module settings.
  2. Enter your production credentials from the Mercado Pago credentials page.
  3. Disable Test Mode by toggling the sandbox/test mode option off.
  4. Save the settings.

Double-check that you have replaced the sandbox credentials with your real production credentials before disabling test mode. Using incorrect credentials in live mode will cause payment failures.

Go-Live Checklistโ€‹

Before accepting real payments, verify the following:

  • Production credentials are entered in the module settings (replacing sandbox credentials).
  • Test mode is disabled.
  • A test transaction was successfully completed in test mode.
  • Your Perfex CRM installation is served over HTTPS with a valid SSL certificate.
  • The Mercado Pago payment option is visible on the client-facing invoice page.

Missing Credentialsโ€‹

If your Mercado Pago account is missing credentials or you are unable to locate the production credentials section:

  1. Verify that your account is fully verified and activated.
  2. Check that your account has the necessary permissions for online payment processing.
  3. Contact Mercado Pago support directly for assistance with your account credentials.

Make sure you are viewing the Production credentials, not the Sandbox credentials, on the Mercado Pago credentials page.
