Configuration

After activating the Advanced Email System, navigate to the module's Settings section to configure all aspects of your enhanced email notifications. The configuration is organized into several key areas.

Email Templates and Layoutโ€‹

Customize the appearance and content of your email notifications:

  • Design email templates with enhanced layout options
  • Customize the header, body, and footer areas of your emails
  • Use placeholders and merge fields to include dynamic CRM data in your emails
  • Create different template styles for different types of notifications
tip

A well-designed email template improves professionalism and readability. Keep your templates clean and consistent with your brand identity for the best impression on recipients.

Notification Triggers and Rulesโ€‹

info

Carefully review your notification triggers to avoid sending excessive emails. Well-configured triggers ensure the right people receive the right information at the right time.

SMTP and Delivery Settingsโ€‹

Fine-tune how emails are delivered from your CRM:

  • Configure SMTP server settings for outbound email delivery
  • Adjust delivery parameters such as sender name, reply-to address, and email encoding
  • Set up delivery preferences to optimize email throughput
warning

Ensure your SMTP settings are correct before enabling notifications. Incorrect SMTP configuration can result in emails not being delivered or being flagged as spam.

Recipient Managementโ€‹

Control who receives email notifications from the Advanced Email System:

  • Define default recipient lists for different notification types
  • Add or remove recipients for specific notification triggers
  • Configure CC and BCC settings for notifications that require multiple recipients

Best Practicesโ€‹

  • Test before going live โ€” Send test emails to verify templates and delivery settings
  • Review triggers regularly โ€” As your workflow changes, update notification triggers to stay relevant
  • Monitor delivery โ€” Check email delivery logs periodically to catch any delivery issues early
  • Use merge fields โ€” Take advantage of dynamic placeholders to make your emails personalized and informative
