Client Portal

When the client portal is enabled, your clients can view their account plans and request updates-all from their client portal login.

Enabling the Client Portalโ€‹

  1. Go to Account Planning โ†’ Settings.
  2. Check Enable client portal view for account plans.
  3. Click Save.

What Clients Seeโ€‹

Account Planning Menuโ€‹

  • Clients see Account Planning in their client portal sidebar.
  • Clicking it opens a list of their account plans.

Plans Listโ€‹

The list shows:

  • ID โ€“ Plan number
  • Subject โ€“ Plan title
  • Plan Status โ€“ Draft, In Progress, Review, Completed, Archived
  • Date โ€“ Plan period
  • View โ€“ Button to open the plan

Only plans for their client account are visible.

Viewing a Planโ€‹

When a client clicks View on a plan:

  • They see the plan in read-only mode.
  • They can browse tabs (Due Diligence, Team Information, Planning, etc.).
  • They cannot edit anything.

Request Updateโ€‹

Clients can request that staff update the plan:

  1. While viewing a plan, they click Request update (or similar).
  2. A request is sent to staff.
  3. Staff see an alert on the plan: "Client requested plan update โ€“ X pending request(s)."
  4. Staff can Mark as handled when the update is done.

Mobile-Friendlyโ€‹

The client portal views are designed to work on mobile devices:

  • Tables use responsive layout.
  • Buttons and links are touch-friendly.
  • Content adapts to smaller screens.

Permissionsโ€‹

  • Client portal access is controlled by the Enable client portal view setting.
  • Staff permissions (View, Create, Edit, Delete) do not affect what clients see.
  • Clients only see plans for their own account.

Disabling the Client Portalโ€‹

  1. Go to Account Planning โ†’ Settings.
  2. Uncheck Enable client portal view for account plans.
  3. Save.

The Account Planning menu will no longer appear in the client portal.
